some one change my (susi linux 7.1) root password so i could not enter into root please tell me how can i enter.
[snip] if you are using lilo as the boot loader than on lilo prompt type `linux 1` it will drop you to the shell from there you can change the password. if still you cannot do it try booting with the bootable cd of suse and on the installation prompt type linux rescue or which ever is the command of the suse for the same it will mount your root file system on some directory (i.e. /mnt/<directory>) on redhat it is `/mnt/sysimage` once it is mounted than do `chroot /mnt/<directory>` now here you can change your root password after changing the password do `sync;exit` and reboot your system.
correct me if i am wrong.
