!!! I don't remember any monitor of mine having problems with the earth's magnetic field, and I've been using computer monitors since back in 1987. Before that I used televisions, and none of those had problems either.
My phone's magnetic field though is a different matter. It tends to change the colour/tint of the monitor in the shape of the field. I've noticed this with different phones and different monitors (including Sony).
