One possible could be some illegal operation related to the mentioned directory in the .bashrc file. This is the file which is automatically executed when a user logs in. Check if all statements in that file are valid. Though many other reasons for the error are possible..

2. when i issue command

rpm -qa | grep (anything)samba then it shows hdc error device interrupt seek etc... can any one of you please help me
