Trever & Dr. Nag held one such seminar in the feb wherein we were introduced to linux and the i-lug bom. but very few ppl attended that since it was organized by the automobile deptt. Now we have around 200 students who have a whole linux lab to their disposal but dont know what to do with it. I ensure a much better response this time...

Formatting a DOS-16 bit partition in Linux:
a) Through Linux fdisk mark the partion predesignated for DOS
FAT-16 as Type 4 (if it is < 32 mb) or Type 6 (if > 32 mb).
b) mkdosfs (man mkdosfs for details). The minimum options are:
#mkdosfs -c -f FAT-16 -n volume-label /dev/hdxN
