- What differs in a OEM product and a boxed product?
This is in terms of CD-RW / DVD-R/RW drives. I have heard, in OEM drives its core (circuitry) is supplied by the original company, whereas, the casing etc, are assembled by the other. Boxed product include all necessary manuals, software and the drive is manufactured entirely by the company. Can someone confirm this?
Boxed product is branded (advertised) and will include freebees like drivers players etc.
