Hello All,
Suse 10 from LFY was tried out. Overall, it is a little disappointing considering that SuSe is generally recommended for desktop usage. This was my first trial of the SuSe distro for a desktop.

FC4 may not be very impressive but at lest it gets its basic stuff working pretty well.
I was also disappointed with Suse. I personally think that any *Desktop* distro must come with lots of audio and video codecs. FC4 has the same problems as also Ubuntu I think.
Currently the distro for home use that I am recommending is SimplyMEPIS. It comes with most of the codecs, directly compatible with the Deb repository's and it somehow gets the desktop look and feel just *right*. It also comes with all the packages needed for home use.
