Similarly, I would like to know what is the relation between AMD's processors and the RAM's frequency. I have a sempron 2200+ which has an FSB of 333MHz and the optimum RAM for it would be DDR333.
Generally in any mobo, its quite safe to select the RAM with the higher FSB. If the mobo does not support it, the RAM will automatically work on a lower FSB. So if your mobo is meant for 333 MHz, you can still put a 400 MHz RAM but if the mobo is 400 MHz, your 333 MHz RAM will not be suitable. Do take care of what technology is supports like DDR or DDR2. That is not interchangable, to the best of my knowledge.
Thanks...
