Hmmmm ... I remember Prakash had mentioned something similar some time back - is it the same thing? Could you guys arrange a demo?

Instead i think PPPD is tryin to write to some directory on the cdrom installation(when i boot thro the CD ) as a result it hangs... Thus is even tried mounting /etc/ppp as a RAMDISK...but to no avail..

One place that pppd does write to is its own copy of resolve.conf when "usepeerdns" is enabled ...
