WiFi may be tricky on Thinstation as it is targeted for wired thin clients - I have not looked at the distro for a while.
BTW, most mainstream distros have methods to re-master their default LiveCD.
Even after so many replies, the OP has not mentioned the hardware specs he will use the live cd on. His first mail mentions that most CDs he tried did not boot on his hardware. Those are light weight CDs meant to boot on any system.
