It is important to let people know and realise how much can be achieved on Linux, how easy it is for end users to operate and what software is available. I have started inviting friends over to come and have a look at how it works on my PC to get an idea of what it can do.
This is a really important concern for Linux. Though it is

Unfortunately this is quite true. I teach students doing their MSc in s/w systems, and I was amazed at their ignorance about free software.
Since I teach software engineering, we've taken up GNU/Linux as a case study for this subject. I get the feeling it has aroused their interest in free s/w. One student asked me, "If it's so great, which I can see it is, how come we never knew about it?".
I also wish to encourage these students to take up GNU/Linux related final-semester projects, where I hope the PRC will assist me.
