I have been to IIT but to CSRE only & canteen :) ( of course ) I don't know the else part
Come to the "Main gate" (the 2nd gate from Gandhinagar) and keep walking along the road. Should be abou 6 to 8 minutes. KReSIT is on the right. If you reach the "IITB Main Building", you have missed KReSIT.
There is a decent map on the IITB site.
