Or the better solution is throw out KDE itself! And use GNOME :P I'm not a GNOME fanboy, it does have its quirks but as an end user and an ex-KDE fan, I find its better as compared to KDE :)
I am still a fan of KDE. :-) KDE guys do have some weak points but still I love KDE.
On the net I found that knetworkmanager is perpetually having problems with different versions. On Saturday, I was awake till 5am trying to figure out its configuration files but no success, even removed it and re-installed it. On Sunday I finally threw it out.
