m sorry if i came out wrong, but all i meant was that using Gnu/linux is not social service and i do it because i see somthin in it for me...

the point is that since it is built by a community, it will only grow if the community grows - else it will wither away. So if we want to continue to use it and benefit by it - we *have* to contribute to the growth of the community in any way we can
