I would really recommend using FC2. Also, try debian 3.0. It was given with PCQ DVD a while ago. Works great!
If its not too much of a bother, can you or anyone give me a copy of these cds in exchange for blank MosherBayer CDs? Please write to me privately, off this list.
I can give you a copy of PCQ 2004 dec which has Debian Sarge. Since we are exchanging in kind it is commercial transaction and a commercial distro - fully legal - which you can copy and redistribute and you are encouraged to do so. For details visit http://www.debian.org.
I have used it on the following hardware without a hitch. Via p4m266a Piv celeron 128mb (sound is Half duplex on some of these boards). I865 P IV 3.3 GHz 256 MB full duplex sound IBM T70 thinkpad Iball laptop (actually an I855 clone from china) The Via setup burns cds/dvd, plays music /videos, connects to the net with umpteen isps, uses usb flash storage, and does everything that i want it to do. Uptime is 3 months and counting (if this box konks out 700 people will be locked out of office, an me will get some broken bones). Caveat I know what i want done and i know the capabilities and limitations of the hardware. If you are running a production system, you must have Reasonable net access for security patches and updates.
