Is there anyone one the lug who is using RoltaNet's dialup net services? I've been facing problems in connecting to the RoltaNet
I had used RoltaNet. They have WinNT and Linux servers for authentication. Most probably the server at the other end is an NT box(!!??). I use Wvdial to connect to ISPs.. In case you do too then you should add the following line in the RoltaNet Dialer Section of your /etc/wvdial.conf like...
[Dialer Rolta] Stupid Mode = on # This is the line to add Username = abcd Password = xyz ....
And yes, no point talking to there tech support, they won't help you at all!!!
If you are using a chat script, then don't tell it to interpret the Login Sequence but just start `pppd' as soon as the connection is made.
e.g., chat '"" ATZ OK AT(modem init strings) OK ATDT172301 CONNECT ""'
Your chat script might be more complex, above is just an example.
