Hello,
We ( students Fr. CRCE, final year, BE electronics ) are doing a project for developing a system similar to the ones used in robosoccer.
NO one we know of has implemented the whole robosoccer system yet, in India.
One of the major aspects of this involves using real-time image processing for finding out the locations of robots and the ball in the game.
We have developed most of the stuff using IntelOpenCV computer vision library and using personal USB webcams, however we are not able to get the required performance with these cameras..
*the frame rate is really slow ( average 2 fps ) *the image quality is also bad
we are wondering if anyone can lend us any frame grabber cards which have linux drivers, for a couple of weeks, so that we can really test the efficiency of our routines and stuff like that.
we can use both the routines and the webcam under windows, but then really we will be missing the point of doing a project like this !
any pointers are appreciated !
Thanks for reading
