Hey All , I was wondering if anyone managed to get the 7710's modem initialized with wvdial . I got the SE700i and the Nokia 6151 working . But the 7710 is different . I shows up an icon on the phone indicating that the modem is activated when the phone is connected to the dialer in m$ even without starting the dial out process . How do I replicate this in Linux . Because without that if I dial out here is what I get : Dec 2 12:12:56 bluehorizon hcid[4073]: HCI dev 0 up Dec 2 12:12:56 bluehorizon hcid[4073]: Starting security manager 0 Dec 2 12:13:04 bluehorizon ifup-ppp: pppd started for internet on /dev/rfcomm0 at 115200 Dec 2 12:13:04 bluehorizon pppd[4142]: pppd 2.4.3 started by root, uid 0 Dec 2 12:13:06 bluehorizon hcid[4073]: link_key_request (sba=00:11:67:06:D8:2A, dba=00:02:EE:98:4D:CB) Dec 2 12:13:12 bluehorizon wvdial[4147]: WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.54.0 Dec 2 12:13:12 bluehorizon wvdial[4147]: Initializing modem.
