No reasoning behind this and any way we will know any one's mail address as they are posting on the group. :) And our group has certain standards and by seeing the id I don't think any one will send mails . Hmmm The above statement by our friend indirectly means that .. other members can send mails to her ..

And there is some other method of changing the mail address. I donno the exact url of that . You can check the mail sent to u when u joined the group for that url.
