Also, note that you should not use the 2.4.15 release of the kernel, as it has a file-system corruption bug.
In case you are planning to use the latest one, try 2.4.16-pre1. It's also uploaded on db.ilug-bom.
Please note, that 2.4.16-pre1 has to be applied over 2.4.15, and not a previous version, so if you download patches, you will have to get both patches. 2.4.15-pre8 is also stable.
