why cant companies give development hands on practice by making trainees work on some opensource project. That way the trainees can get to see some real community approved style of coding. Giving training to a trainee so that he/she comes up to the mark is the question. Especially since he/she is a trainee and is going to elope after training period.
We have faced this problem, every year we give training to 20+ students, and we do this every year as fresh students arrive and they write code as per their calibre.
