is there anything that i should be aware of. people who have tried this ealier kindly tell me what i should take care off.
thanks a lot
hi, if possible try to backup your data. also if trying to dual boot make sure you have all the necessary documentation regarding creating a dual boot. i personally had win 98 and made it to dual boot with yoper linux. however when i did it the first time, i could not start yoper linux. then after searching on the yoper linux forums, i found that after installation i had to execute a command to configure lilo so that i had the dual boot during restarting of the computer. also most linux distributions have a utility at the start that checks if the cd is good or bad. use that because if the cd is bad then the installation will stop midway and corrupt your disk. just some friendly advice. regards, kevin
