Although i have recreated the "folder", it does *not* act like the trash folder is supposed to -- deleted stuff doesn't end up there. i tried searching for "trash path" in the "control center", but in vain. googling around provided the path variable to reside in "control center -> system administration -> paths", but unfortunately in my case i can't find the "trash path" variable :(
The trash folder is a link to the 'trash:/' URL and not a folder.
