Just going to check on sourceforge.net.
As for the time and efforts, I think I (and other in the firm) can and will manage it. I hope it iwll be fun too.
Considering that we spend months explaining costing concepts to a team of programmers to get our costing software developed, I think accounts will be a child's play in comparison.
So please add Accounting software to the list of projects and count me in for it.

I head a Cost Accounting firm. I think if you want to do things to make Linux more popular with Corporate users, we will need more of common office use software.
Accounting & Linux gr8 saswata u have come far.
If you wish to add an "Accounting Software" to your list of
project, I will be willing to put in time to coordinate it (of course, someone here will have to tell me how this coordinating is done).
Thats nice ... but let me warn you it will be a lot of time if you wanna see accounting on Linux. If you have hours to give explain standards and protocols ... perhaps lead a team, I am sure people will help you out.
As a suggestion why not go to sourceforge.net and find out whats already there.
