Hi Animesh,
Would u please tell me which Red Hat media u r using. and also what is the kernel version.
kernel version 2.4.20-8...redhat media?? installation media=CD
Which among the above card is working fine and which has the problem ?
ok machine=original intel motherboard(805)+nVidia Geforce2
faulty machine= microtek motherboard(intel 845GL chipset)
If nvidia GeForce2 is working fine then Microtek 845GL Intel chipset's which display card is having problem. 845GL series has couple of display chipset device.
<snip> If u open the CPU, u will find some number on display chip. Just write back that numbers.
i dont know about the video chipset on the microtek motherboard. only thing i know is that on winXP Intel Accelerated Graphics Adapter Driver is used for the video chipset.
<snip> In fact in windows, when you will try to figure out display adapter, it gives you 845 display adapter. SO nothing of really a great help.
Do you think the problem is in the hardware or any configuration file? As i already said the font works fine until i goto Xwindows(ALT+F7) and then come back to text console(CTRL+ALT+F1). Also the prolem arises when i change the default system font.
