I don't know how access floppy drive in linux.We have sun-micro systems in our college.To access floppy drive i went to /home/floppy/ directory, but there r many folders named such as 'unnamed floppy #1,#2 and so on.How to find out the folder that actually refers to floppy drive. And also once i lost the contents of my floppy when i placed it in drive actauly they r over written by some other files.
