I was going thru some article and came across file /etc/securetty followed by /etc/usertty. I was able to restrict console logins to root user thru /etc/securetty but wanted to know the use of /etc/usertty if any could help me out.
Also friends, came across a command "chattr" thru which u can set flags to ur file by which they cant be deleted even by root user or can be recovered after deletion or even can be accessed in append only mode, good command to be remembered security point of view as this settings can be used on logfiles.
