With due respects, how much will the NRC FOSS Certification have market value or add value to my or anyone's career ?
hopefully it will have immense market value and be a valuable asset in your CV
Why should anyone who is self taught be interested in this certification, or put in so much time and effort to acquire this certification ?
to improve his/her prospects
This certification at least makes some sense if it gives an opportunity to the tutors to earn a honest and ethical living (either full time or along with their jobs) out of FOSS. Thus they can learn and mentor others who are in need of assistance.
obviously if the certification is in demand, trainers for it will also be in demand. We will certainly help train trainers. But since we are the certifying authority it would be unethical for us to involve ourselves in training
When I do a certification, I have only one objective and that is to use the certification (hands on experience and certifications are altogether different matters as we all know) as a leverage when I hunt for a job nothing more nothing less, and how much can this NRC FOSS certificate achieve this objective especially in the current market scenario ?
our certification aims at testing hands-on experience and will certify such experience. No one with mere theoretical knowledge will pass.
