Actually Mayuresh
I dont know much about the memory protection part of it. But why I ask is because they seem to have a much better handwriting software than Palm OS. And they calim that all the system calls by the apps are handled by the OS...letting the app believe it is running on Palm...(I am not sure...but it must be something like the code morphing that transmeta use...or closer home like POSE) Nonetheless, they actually claim that Linuxda runs faster than Palm OS. Though I myself, would never try it on my Palm, I would like to know just for curiosity how well the system works

Hi Vijay,
Actually speaking its just plain useless to run Linux on Palm Hardware,
reasons:
- Palm uses DragonBall which does not have memory protection, hence no pre-emptive multitasking.
- Existing Palm apps cannot run, they are built to run for PalmOS.
