I think, xsetroot shud be used to change various properties\aspects of the X, including mouse appearance. Some GUI frontend is also available, though not so sure abt it. U can even have an image being used as the mouse cursor.
$ man xsetroot

hi there, i want to change the color of mouse cursor in X (which
genrally black)
do any body have a clue or done it before then plz help me out
