I'd just like that the static content we present to the world be correct.
In the same vein, I would like to suggest min. usage of Short Message Service (SMS) language on the list. While "Plz. think 2ice b4 u wud jmp off d cliff. Not bcoz sum1 told u 2 jmp." may look cute on the mobile phone displays; it may not be comprehensible to many, especially people from other culture(s) who see such messages through Google search.
If acceptable, this may addressed in item 10. on the guidelines.
I second this suggestion. Mailing lists generate a huge knowledge base, and therefore it is important that the messages are not only human readable, but also accessible to search engines. this suggestion in this light makes sense. An occassional SMS lang is OK, but it is good if the messages are posted in full. This can be added as one of the recommendations.
