Thats is why, when you make a system dual-boot, the first thin= g you do is make sure that both the boot loaders (grub and ntloader) are in= dependant...using chainloading.
Thus, when we remove one OS, t= he other OS is completely independant and all you have to do is remove the = deleted OS's entry from the existing bootloader.
Now, you can = try by booting into XP with a bootable cd and giving fixmbr at the pr= ompt.
