I used to have the same problems once before and i think ( correct me if i am wrong) pppoe doesn't allow one to choose an AC. It just picks the first AC shown when you do pppoe-discovery.
man pppoe.conf gives you answer. If you do not know AC Name ask your ISP or use tcpdump/tethereal to sniff.
