So let us conclude with this:
- Everything works in Linux
- There are no major problems
- It gets boring till they upgrade the distribution, which is no
big deal because that happens every six months.
Conversely, No mail traffic could mean
- We are scaring off newbies and they are scared to ask questions
(Look at all the flame wars in past. :-) )
- The Linux usage is going down! (Hiding behind a flame proof
bunker)
- All the Linux users has become smart! ;-)
Seems more like 3 + hardware mfgs realising that hiding internal details from FLOSS is their loss. I am pleasantly surprised to see nvidia running driver revisions regularly and even more important, releasing new chipsets with drivers. Wifi is a bit of a pain even now, but definetly a far lesser pain especially with broadcom.
And ofcourse M$ lies have caught up with them.
