It will be a full day session so I feel 10 am should be ok for everyone to reach the venue.
As the subject says.
Get your laptops with blender installed.

Oh I did not read your mail before replying to Mitul. The videos are many and we will need a full or at least half a day to play them, discuss and experiment with the suggestions in them.

Yes, everyone can attend, anyway this one is about blender, and not on linux. And you can attend even if you know nothing about blender.

No. Afaik. Moving and placing them in the conference hall is a problem.
If we keep the workshop in the lab instead of the seminar room then we will be able to use the desktops as well

This announcement is for all.
The workshop starts at 10 AM on Sunday 9th as mentioned by Mehul in the Wiki and it is in the conference room so everyone please bring your blender installed laptops as much as possible since there are no pcs in the conference room. Those with no laptops can pair up with others and what is important is the projector videos. Even those with Windows in their lappys can install blender (add python too) for the same.

Which floor is the conference room? We can add that to the wiki, to make it easy for first timers.

Is the windows version downloaded already or will we be downloading there?

Guys one suggestion, please download all the softwares and keep them on athumbdrive. So that a newbie who might not have the required package(s) will not be hassled.

its oriented towards anyone who is interested in seeing how free software stands up in this domain - blender can also be used to make logos, do cad and other things, so it is not just animation

Make brouchers and presentations without selling your kidneys to buy some package. Learning the basics so that you can show others. Act as a bridge between users and developers.
And if these hifi reasons sound like hot air, you can drop in just to have fun.

Please feel free to attend. There are no fees. You can still view the video on screen without a laptop.
