Sorry for inconvenience.
Why are you testing onto the mailing list. Why don't you send test messages to your hotmail or yahoo account. Why waste our bandwidth and time.

Actually I had prob with my sendmail config. First I sent a mail to my yahoo! account. The account accepted the mail.Now when I tried to send the mail to ilug it failed.
Sendmail was giving my mail address as my_login_name@my_hostname . Now ilug for obvious reasons was checking whether my hostname joshi.home existed which did not and the mail delivery failed. However yahoo! did not check my hostname and was accepting mails coming from my hostname.
I guess the aforesaid reason justifies my act of testing with ilug server.
The horde of messages came as a result of my mistake of releasing unsent messages in the queue. I am using sendmail for the first time.

Wot I had done was this - I sent a mail to my hotmail acc. and when I checked it - I clicked on reply - If my REPLY-TO email ID was found to be correct, ie. neosurya@yahoo.com , then it was correct. Or u can configure fetchmail with ur pop.yahoo.com and then send mails to ur yahoo!! acc by using sendmail. when u recieve mails, u will know what the reply-to address is... Note an absurd situation - u get a practical looback Email Acc... U can get an email to urself@wotever.com with the recipient being urself@wotever.com :) Bye, SP
