Hi,
I have seen several list users carbon copying their mail to linuxers@mm.glug-bom.org. Is it necessary? The mails gets sent to the same list.
If there is some difference please let me know.
Thanks and regards.

There is no difference. Both addresses point to the same mailing list.

What I wanted to point out is that cc ing is unnecessary and people should refrain from doing so.
To my point of view it is worse than multi-posting and cross-posting.

As I look at it, you subscribe to different newsgroups and are sent mails from the members. So if you subscribe to two similar groups you may expect to see some mails which are common in both.
But when you see same mail twice in one group mail, I think you are entitled to be annoyed.
Hope I was clear in my explanation.
Thanks and regards.
