Hello Everybody, I have to use the ucspi tools (tcpclient,tcpserver) with serialmail. Consider the following case.

I run the command on Linux.

tcpserver 90.0.0.24 5000 pwd (any program)

so that a tcpserver is created and waits for connections and executes the pwd command.

now using the tcpclient tool a client can be started to connect to the tcpserver .

tcpclient 90.0.0.24 5000 serialsmtp prefix garfield

Here garfield is the host name for tcpserver.

I have to use serialmail with tcpclient.

The following error is given. serialsmtp: fatal: protocol violation

What is the cause of this error ? how can it be rectified.

So how can I use serialmail (serialsmtp ) with tcpclient?
