Hi I Have install My winXp on my C drive which is primary partion & have install suse 8.2 on logical partion of same HDD. now if I want to Remove Suse from my HDD without disturbing XP ,how should I do that . coz if I remove suse by deleting it from my XP disk Manager then every thing goes right but when I restart my computer it sows me grub error. & I Cant Access my WinXP. I have to reinstall My WinXP for that. pls give me the solution. Regards Advait Raut

Hi You say that you have Suse on a logical partition (i assume it is hda5 under linux). In that case you can easily delete and recreate that partition using any disk manager tool (eg Partition Magic.) You aslo mentioned that if you do that you have problems with grub. What exactly is it? Anyways, you can restore the winXP MBR by booting from the winXP cd, going to the Rescue mode(i guess by pressing R at some point) and say :
fixmbr
this overwrites grub(again assuming you installed grub on the mbr) with the XP mbr and now XP should work just fine. Regards aj

Instead of using third partry partition tool you should use fdisk command from the console(from SUSE console) you can use
fdisk /dev/hda (hxx what ever you drive is located at) and delete the partition which contains SUSE.
And the rest is what is told by Arjun. fixmbr will solve ur purpose.
