Can anyone help me get the internal modem (Dlink modem, HSF chipset) up and running. OS is RHEL 3.
The system detects the card, but kppp doesn't have any entry for the said card. I am also not sure which entry in /dev corresponds with the card.
I may sound strange, but until now I have been using Linux only as a learning platform and not a serious PC for daily use.
Thanks in advance, for any and all the help.

grep the list. Someone took the trouble to document the procedure.

Not at all - u sound like an infernal modem. GNU/linux is a fun thing u know - for blokes like us who have nothing better to do - not for serious fellas with a halo around the head and a universe full of virii on their shoulders. I almost forget the CAD finger disease.
