Dear Linuxers, I have recently burnt cds for solaris.... has anybody used solaris 8 (intel)... i am facing problems in installatio can somebody provide me a link to some docs on installation of solaris 8. regards lilo

I don't think you're allowed to redistribute solaris 8. The licence requires you to get it from sun only, with source and everything, for a standard distribution cost of $75.
Make sure you know the terms before redistributing, or you could get into trouble. Mitul, aren't you a member of NASSCOM?

Well i m not some one frm NASSCOM, i used to hanlde the server where NASSCOM was hosted :). and yaa the sun license is really triky...its like .. u got to download it frm sun's site or u got to order the Media Pack.. well to download is simple out of reach for normal ppl ...so the other options simply remains of purchsing the Media Kit = $75 :( ne ways i guess Parag would be knowing the exact license coz he has downloaded Solaris too :)

Hi, Can I borrow the Sun Solaris CDs from you. I will return in max 2 days. I have got a bug of trying diff. distros of Linux. I always wanted to also try Sun Solaris, SCO Unix.
