Hi,
I have installed voyage linux on thinclient. I have installed rdesktop and Xorg on it. However coz of space issue I couldnt install any window manager on it. So I have to connect Windows server from CLI only. I tried following command: $ rdesktop -f <server ip>:3389 It shows "ERROR: Failed to open display"
Is there any work around to resolve this issue without changing any hardware?
Regards NeeleshG
LINUX is basically a simple operating system, but you have to be a genius to understand the simplicity

Is the X server running? I have not done this for a while. IIRC, you have to set the thin client X server to allow (see xhost +machine) remote connection coming into the X server.
You will also need a wm to manage the display. Have you tried to integrate fluxbox or icewm? Both are light on resources (disk space and memory)

xinit display=:0 export display

Afaik you wont need a WM (since he doesnt have any local desktop). but twm is as minimal as it can get.
