I checked out the tariffs and both have a range for Rs 400/-. TATA is unlimited in time but upto 512 MBytes whereas Reliance has Rs. 400/- with 2 schemes. One 50p/min in the day and after 10 pm unlimited in time and MB. Second, 20 Hrs during the Day and 20 Hrs in the night. This comes to 1035 + 1035 MB = 2 GB at a speed of 115 Kbps. The second scheme is good for downloaders.

Rony.

tata has 1GB for 700/-, unlimited they said was for 1500/- , at about 230Kbps.. ie max speed i have got is around 22KB/s i like data limit ones.. since you dont pay much for just being online (& idle)..

I have been using this one since a few months without any issues at all. Its been tested in different places in this country i.e. Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Faridabad, Chennai, Panvel. We have been using wvdial ofcourse.
It has always worked out of the box for me and Anurag. Both of us are using same laptop model ( IBM TP 42 ). Both of us are using Dapper or greater. But ofcourse it has nothing to do with the distro, the kernel is more responsible, I guess. Mine is 2.6.15-27-686 from the Dapper repos.
Cheers!

I have used the Huawei EC321 data card on FC6.x86_64. Setting it up using wvdial was a breeze. If you want, I can provide you the wvdial settings that I used.
