hi all i am using a internal modem with motorola sm56 fax modem chipset... i use rh7.2 and kudzu is not detecting my modem. how do i configure my modem with linux?? plz help gurpreet

the sm56 drivers work ONLY with the KERNEL supplied with redhat 7.1, maybe they were compiled against them. if you could get the 7.1 kernel working in the 7.2 redhat, it should work, although i havnt tried it. ! also you could search the archives for this list. this think has come up before. !
