Am I the only one seeing the hue n cry on something this trivial ?
I don't like it when my name is mispronounced. Big phonetic difference between 'Kapil' and 'Kopeel'.
Does that stop the next person from again calling you 'Kopeel'? The only solution to your problem would be to wear a board saying 'My name is X pronounced X' (even then dimwits like me might call you Kopeel coz we don't read something right in front of our noses) But then where do we hang the board for GNU/Linux ?

yes it does if I catch hold of their neck and make them understand the difference.

No thank you, i dont carry a board round the neck ... I prefer the "catch hold of the neck" methodology.
