hello luggerz stuff going on here is real interesting for us. we are a group of 3 in final yr comp engg and were looking for a project when we met trevor who helped us with it and showed us some work. the Project Resource Center seems exciting. we spoke to trevor abt it in detail. we'd like to breal some ice now. we'll take up the resposibilty of making a list of projects if u ppl tell us a few places wher we can find them. we'll have the PRC up n running as soon as possible. trevor had three long term projects for us to choose from and the BootCD one sounded good. we take that up guys... do keep the guidance flowing... Dear Gurpreet/ Kunal
Good going guys. All the best for the BootCD project. If you are willing to take up the responsibility of creating the project list...great... As a start, I guess you can speak to students and teachers from 1. IIT 2. VJTI 3. NCST 4. University of Mumbai (They have a number of courses, i hear) 5. Graduate Colleges [ There is this Vocational Course in Computer Applications which requires them to do software deveopment projects]. 6. Corporates [ any ideas whom to approach first, we also need to finalise what the ILUG-PRC responsibilities will be in relation to doing projects for corporates]
I think these should give us sufficient information on the kind of projects that can be done, and what the ILUG needs to do to make those projects valid. Further, it would be helpful if we understand what a project will mean for different institutions.

[snip] the Lugz responsibilited woul b majorly in termz of framing the rules and laying them down for the pple concerned to follow. Commercial/Free watever b the nature of the projectz concerned......we will have guidelines framed correspondingly.
