README.html says it is Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 r2 "Sarge"

Great. Thanks for the info. Off to buy the mag. I dowloaded the cds for 3.1.r2. But using cds is a pain.
ahh ... another affair with another distro ...
I love this one ... i've installed this and im hooked good performance, clean , stable ...SARGE ...
but i had some trouble with my alsa drivers ...fixed, I got the latest kernel from the LYF CD, and compiling the kernel was a breeze in debian ... made a custom kernel based on my laptop's specs ... what can i say ... sleepless nights hacking away on this one.
BTW aptitude is by far the coolest package management interface ... and apt , I found suse's ZMD, and yast cli interface very slow ... and heavy..
