^^ What is "it"?. The colinux uses either winwoes drivers natively or linux drivers natively (if i have understood things correctly). If anything the 2.6 kernel has better sound capability than windoze and is used in professional grade sound equipment :-).

What I ment was that since windows is already using the sound device, it is not easy to get sound working under linux. There are some hacks like the one listed below, http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=cache:Ewzl4I8KpzsJ:www.colinux.org/wiki/ind...
but I had found it far eaiser to use vmware and get sound in linux when running in a windows host, *out of the box*.
