Mailware / Spyware
Turn off port 25.
Will blocking inward port 25 stop Spyware/Mailware from entering the network? -----
Install a malware scanner on your mail gateway and all vulnerable boxes.
Kindly suggest which one pls. -------------
ActiveX and other malicious codes
Don't use Internet Explorer. It's pretty much the only one that does ActiveX.

It will stop all email, including spyware.

I don't know, I don't use any. But amavis (clamav) (which I don't use and which is a virus scanner) and spamassassin (which I do use, and which is a spam detector) are supposed to be good.
