The problem is with the i810 drivers if u have these boards. Now the way to get out of it is only to upgrade the X-server's driver. Download the letest XFree86(i810) driver and compile them. This may solve your problem.

I am having RedHat Linux 8.0 installed in my PC.After I'm in console mode for about 30sec or more X restarts and logs me out of Gnome. This is really annoying!.Its working fine with the GUI and problem comes only when I tries to switch to Console mode. (Ctrl+Alt+F1)
