You mis understood. I was not comparing IE with Mozilla.
About time I put and end to the misunderstandings of my ideas too !! I perfectly understood what u said. You weren't comparing mozilla with IE. I was. The crib as you said is the pre-loader which doesn't exist for linux. Or m'be it does now, I read bout some gnome-systray based app. that does that. I forget the name.
I consider Mozilla's performance far superior to Mozilla.
uh-huh.
I will put forth a few(repeated) ideas to be shot down by u guys (hear ye Philip with single l)
* how bout a generalized preloader that loads the most used shared libraries for (plug ur fav soft here ) before X starts up. Evolution does it when u open it the first time. Why not do it before that ?? Please for god's sake note that I don't mean the glibc or libc libs for that matter. I'm talking about the libs like say gnutls, libnss, libvorbis etc etc. which are not loaded by default. * advantage ? Snap opening times for our dear ol' mozilla, gaim, mplayer, xmms etc etc. * kde already does it. but the catch ? only for kde apps. So not useful.
And please please don't even start about how fast mozilla-firebird opens on ur system. It's been discussed to death on /. on how much it is *not* fast while *opening* on a linux box.

I don't know about the /. thread, I haven't read it, but I do know that firebird starts up really fast on all the linux systems that I use.
